I used to have an attempt at an exhaustive blogroll, listing and commenting on every anime blog I could find. After a time it became outdated and also, at nearly 4,000 words, a little long.
My current blogroll lists places which have consistently affected my opinions in some way, over time. (Disagreement and misreading are also effects!) There are others which I might like more, and others which I might think are better (…maybe) but these are significant.
- Steven Dan Beste of Chizumatic [banner may be very mildly NSFW] can say what he likes without making his taste a universal criterion, and I rather admire him.
- ‘Awesome Engine is an out of control train that can never be stopped. And it’s on fire.’
- Lower Mid-Table is a vital resource, because it contains summaries of every single episode of Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

- 見ないで! ひとり言: come for Meer’s ass, stay for ‘pomobabble verbal diarrhea’.
- Dave Cabrera, the ‘Good Cop of Colony Drop’, writes Subatomic Brainfreeze. He has a knack for turning up old or overlooked things which are also wonderful.
- We Remember Love is a blog with a healthy taste for vintage anime. Ghostlightning is one of the most gregarious anime bloggers.
- The blog-like-entity Ecchi Attack was not safe for work, play or rest. Witty and vitriolic articles about porn. One of the reasons I started blogging. If you’re strong-stomached, it’s here.
